Cars of the Month 2001
Anita Griffith was the last member chosen for "Car of the Month". Anita has been hanging with the Angels for the last three years but just became a member last November.
Anita's 1970 Chevelle was given to her by her husband as a 10th Anniversary Gift. Anita wasn't exactly thrilled, she was hoping for a Ford, but now she fully enjoys the car and being able to enter the Chevelle in shows.
Benny found the Chevelle in a Tobacco Barn and purchased it from the original owner. It has been kept and restored all original.
They replaced the engine with a 350 and switched the car from clutch to automatic.
They also reupholstered the front seats themselves, not an easy task.
Anita hopes to paint the car Black Cherry this winter and told me she just discovered the back seats now need to be reupholstered as well- but as we all know----It's always something !!
